It’s been an exciting 6 months since we released the first version REV23 Cloud! The app has grown and changed so much already since its launch in late October but there is much more to go. We’ve spent a lot of time on polish and perfection – our foundation is strong and getting stronger by the day.

Now at version 1.3 we have a good amount of shine on both the iPad and web apps, having added many features, implemented user requests, improved the general flow and fixed some bugs (surprisingly not as many as one would think!)

Typically, we don’t share our release plans, especially not dates, but we are beginning to get into a solid groove and I’m more comfortable revealing what’s in store for the next set of releases, and, yes, what many of you are waiting for. Keep in mind this is a roadmap only, and subject to change.

1.3 (Spring 2025)

Our current release cycle, 1.3, continues with some extra polish to both platforms.

This version to me is what I would have liked 1.0 to have been in a perfect world. But we needed to release! Frankly, this version’s purpose was to finally start making some videos, better promotional screenshots, etc.… It has been difficult to not have even any videos for promotional or training purposes of this app yet but redoing them every few weeks is even more difficult. We’re finally about where I want to be with this release!

On iPad this cycle we focused heavily on the user interface as well as providing more clarity for certain tasks. We added a filter to the service list, which we will bring to other screens in the future; we added the ability to force delete objects if we prevented the deletion due to signed forms, and much more, including Chat support! Give it a try!

On the web app the focus was a LOT of polish and fixing user interface issues and improving the overall look. This month we be releasing an update which will allow clients to capture their ID image from the sign page on the web, just like iPad, as well as the introduction of Analytics featuring some charts that you will recognize if you are a REV23 Desktop user!

1.4 (Summer 2025)

This version is a big update to Templates/Kiosk. While I think our templates (the things that direct the flow in Kiosk which is what becomes a signed form), are already very flexible, our new improvements will bring even more flexibility, allowing you to control the visibility of pages that were previously not customizable, as well as the visibility and requirements of specific fields. Additionally, the ability to override templates for specific service types, for example some service types that you add (i.e. Tooth Gems) may have a completely different release form than another in the same category.

1.5 (Late Summer 2025)

Most of the work in this version focuses once again on polish and improvements to existing features, adding missing things (Leads on iPad), and doing the last foundational work for…

2.0 (est. Fall/Winter 2025)

Yes, Scheduling is coming! All of the work we’ve been doing has been to build up to this. This will be the first MAJOR feature to be added since release and we know many of you are waiting. We are still working on what the first feature set will be. Scheduling will be released as a preview feature initially. This means the core functionality will be in place so you can begin using it, but some features that we’re planning may not be available right away and they will be added in the coming releases.

Unscheduled and beyond

In addition to the things above, here are some other changes we’re planning to make but are either unscheduled or we’re not sure which version we’re going to release them in… some may show up in the releases above, we may make an unscheduled stop at 1.6, 1.7 or more, or some may be next year, but these are our notable stretch goals.

New Template Designer

We’re going to separate the Template Designer into a completely separate web app that is a bit more iPad friendly. This will allow both the web and the iPad to use the same Designer without us having to write and support two separate versions of this key feature as it’s quite complex.

iPad Landscape Mode

We need to allow landscape mode in the iPad app, as well as have some version of the app on iPhone, especially for scheduling.

Commissions/Payouts

We will add a basic commission/payout structure for artists. This will not be as detailed as REV23 Desktop for Windows (i.e. sliding scale commissions) but we’ll cover most bases here.

Whatever we feel like

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and think "I want to add this tomorrow morning" or a user will have a really great idea, and rather than planning, and waiting, I decide to just add it! There's no telling what else may show up in the short term.

What do you think?

What do you think of the roadmap? Are you excited for what we have planned? Are we missing anything? Let us know in the comments or email us!
