REV23 Development, LLC, based in Denver, Colorado, is the creator and developer
of the popular Tattoo Management Studio software product line. Tattoo Management
Studio is the only Tattoo and Body Piercing shop management software that was specifically,
and painstakingly designed for the industry, while every other software package
on the market is originally for salons & spas and in fact contain no features specific to
tattoos or body piercings.
Starting as an idea between Nate and his long time tattoo artist,
development on Tattoo Management Studio began in the spring of 2007 with every spare
moment between a full-time job, a part-time contracting job, and the arrival of
a beautiful daughter. Finally after three years of focus and dedication, Tattoo Management
Studio v1.0 was released on March 1, 2010 and became the full time focus of owner
and developer Nate Laff (yes, pronounced "laugh.")
Since its release, Tattoo Management Studio has been incredibly well received by
the industry; being featured in industry magazines and receiving rave reviews
(read some of them here...)
from users ranging across the United States and Canada to Australia, United
Kingdom, Italy and
Germany.
Today, REV23 Development continues to be run solely by me, Nate. When you see the
Tattoo Management Studio booth at a convention, you'll see me there.
When you have a question, whether you call or email, you'll get an answer from me. When you place
your order,
you will speak with me. If you have a problem, you will always, 100% of the time
get a solution from me. I am proud and honored to have a great relationship with
my users.
Not only do I run all aspects of Tattoo Management Studio including, but not
limited to: code, design, planning, mascot, evangelist, interface, media,
graphics, lead, tech writer, trainer, booth babe, convention goer and other
miscellaneous jobs, I am committed to beating my competitors in every way.
Tattoo Management Studio has received more new features and had more releases in
the last two years than everyone else combined. The testing of new versions is
performed by a group of the best and busiest studios that are all run completely
different from each other before the release is made available to everyone,
meaning you get the absolute best quality in every single release because it's
been put through the ringer.
My mission statement? I don't have one. I think they're silly. Have you ever
been in a business that says "Our mission statement is to provide the absolute
best customer service, blah blah blah..." and you can't even find anyone there
to help you? And when someone does show up, they're a jerk? Everyone has a
"mission statement" but few live by it. But my "mission", the whole reason I do
this is simple. Make this industry as safe and professional as it can possibly be,
while
making the lives of shop owners, managers and the staff easier by automating
their every day tasks. I
absolutely stand by my software and fully support those who have chosen to put
their trust in me and Tattoo Management Studio.
Oh yeah, the answer to the question "what does REV23 mean?" It doesn't
mean anything, really.
Faced with needing a new band name back in the early 2000s, as
the one we were using was taken, we needed something fast. While jotting things
down, and coming up with logos, I began labeling revision 2, rev. 3, rev. 4,
etc... finally by revision 23, I thought that looked better than what we were
doing in the first place. It became the band name, and after we disbanded, I
reused it for my development company. It's really as simple as that.
