Scheduling an Appointment
In this example, we will be logged in as a standard user, not the Administrator. Remember, Administrators, Managers & Schedulers can see everyone's calendar, where a user can only see their own. Note that you can create a custom Group that allows this permission, but that is outside the scope of this topic.
Scheduling an appointment can be done one of several ways:
-
Clicking the New action on the Ribbon
-
Double clicking a time cell on the Appointment Scheduler
-
Selecting a time block (multiple cells) in the Appointment Scheduler, then clicking the New action on the Ribbon or in the right click popup menu
Any one of these options are acceptable. We will demonstrate a the third method, since it is the most common.

At the default zoom level, each time cell represents 30 minute intervals. The Time Ruler on the left hand side indicates what time the cell represents. Additionally there is a time marker that will appear on the ruler that shows the current time. In the image below you can see the time marker represented by an orange line slightly below the 9:00 PM time cell. It is roughly 9:05 PM.

Now, click the New action on the Ribbon or right click the selected area and select the New action from the popup menu. This will bring up the Appointment Detail View.
