Service Type Detail View

 
This view is used to add/modify the properties of a Service Type.

Name

1. Name

The name of the service type, for example Tattoo, Navel, Helix, etc...

Category

2. Category

The category the service type will appear in.

Healing Time

3. Healing Time

Generally how long the service type takes to heal. This appears on the release & aftercare forms. For example, type in "2-4 weeks".

Consent Form

The consent/release form that will be generated for the service type.

Guardian Consent Form

5. Guardian Consent Form
 
The consent/release form that will be generated for the service type when the client is under the required age. If no Guardian Consent Form is specified, you will not be able to save the service if the client is underage.

Aftercare Form

The aftercare form that will be generated for the service type.

Required Age

7. Required Age
 
The minimum age the client is required to be to perform the service. If a Guardian Consent Form is specified, you will simply need to specify a Guardian in the Service Detail View in order to proceed with the service.

Default Pricing Source

8. Default Pricing Source
 
Default Pricing Source is how the service is amount is calculated.
 
Custom: The amount will be typed in each time this service type is done.
Employee: Uses the Amount property of an Employee Service Type
Location: Uses the Amount property of a Location Service Type
Time: Amount is calculated by the Start and End Time of a Service, taking into account the hourly rate & rounding properties of an Employee Service Type.

Tax

The sales tax on the service. This is not common in most states.

Commission Type

10. Commission Type
 
How the studio is paid for a service type.
 
None: No payout (draw) is calculated for the studio on a service.
Dollar: The payout of the service is a fixed dollar amount.
Percent: The payout of the service is a percentage of the amount.
Remainder: The payout of the service is the remaining amount after the Employee payout has been calculated.

In the Employees/Locations nested list views you can add/modify Employee Service Types, or Location Service Types (used when you have multiple studios.)
