Configuring your SMTP (E-mail) Server

If you setup your e-mail account in The Setup Wizard you have nothing left to do. Tattoo Management Studio Express Edition is properly configured to send reminders with the Notification Service.

If you did not setup your e-mail account in The Setup Wizard you will need to configure one in Tattoo Management Studio Express Edition using the steps below.

  1. Login to Tattoo Management Studio Express Edition as the Administrator.

  2. In the Configuration Navigation Group click the SMTP Servers Navigation Item. This will load the SMTP Server List View.

  3. Click the "New" action on the Ribbon to create a new SMTP Server.

    The E-mail Configuration Wizard.

  4. You can have Tattoo Management Studio Express Edition attempt to detect these settings for you by putting in your e-mail address and password, or configure your SMTP Server manually. If you decide to configure manually you will need the following information from your e-mail provider.

        - Server/Host Name
        - Port
        - Use SSL (Yes/No)
        - Use Authentication (Yes/No)
        - Username/Password for Authentication if not your e-mail address/password

You will need to enter these values after selecting "I want to manually configure my settings" and clicking the Next Button.
